Trey Wertz, earlier named a Division 3 All State honoree, scored 33 in a playoff loss earlier this month.
Appears to be the cream of the recruiting class.
High expectations for him and he’ll have plenty of weight on his shoulders, he seems up to the task both on and off the court.
I expect/hope he’s ready to start from day 1. The question is at what position? Seems to be a playmaking 2 but at 6-5 should be able to play the 3.
My hope/wish is that Eaddy is good enough to supplant Hauser and share the backcourt w/ KJ as interchangeable 1’s/2’s with Wertz playing the 3 and capable of being a playmaker, initiating the offense on occasion and leading fast breaks, etc. Hauser could then come off the bench for 20-25mins a game and hopefully provide some scoring punch off the bench.
Another recruit that intrigues me is Silverio…appears to be fairly athletic, decent size, strong and physically mature. He’s my dark horse to be an impact player if not in his first season, then in year 2 once KJ and Hauser have graduated and some PT frees up.
