@ USF

Creating this thread for the same reason as before. I think this is probably the most important game remaining in conference. A win puts USF 2 games behind us and BYU. A loss puts us tied with USF and a game behind BYU (projecting to the end of the season).

USF has been good so far with a gaudy record for a 5th place WCC team, but they’ve only beat two halfway decent opponents in that whole stretch.

Give me 62-58 in an ugly one on the Hilltop.

P.S. Any word on when Jarvis returns?

73-61 Broncos. I agree that this is the most important game. If we can beat USF and they can beat BYU, 3rd place is attainable. If we lose,
we are in a fight for 4th.

74-70 Broncos
Win gives us a 3 game lead over USF since we’d own the head to head tiebreaker.

$200 for a correct guess… Dons have been pretty good lately, (won 6 of last 7).  As much as I hate the Donna’s, you have to admire the job Smith has done in his 1st season there.  SCU needs this for any chance at 3rd.  Although I don’t feel good about this one I’m going with our Broncs’ 73-70

Definitely the most important game of the year IMO. We’re all going with the heart. Not about to change that on this game. Broncos 70-62.

I hate to go with the streaking Dons on the Hilltop, but I will.  69-66 USF.

dons are playing very good ball, but as mentioned above mostly vs weak teams, and that miserable ft shooting has to come back to bite them at some point.  If broncs stay in striking range late they could steal it .   Santa 70-66

This is a big one, most meaningful game between these two rivals in quite some time- at least since the CIT game, and this one might actually mean more, because it will go a long way towards determining final standings

SCU has to go to Moraga, a likely loss, but every game beyond (and including) this one with USF is winnable. if we do win those games, and lose at SMC, we’re 11-6 (without factoring in this game with USF)

USF has a likely loss but certainly in realm of winnability game vs BYU after this, and they still go @Gonzaga, which is an L. They would be 10-7 in league with losses to those two, and without factoring in this game.

BYU still goes @Gonzaga and hosts SMC. Assuming they lose those two, but beat USF in San Francisco and everyone else, they’d be 12-6.

Nothing ever goes according to plan, and certainly USF/SCU/BYU will slip up somewhere along the way, but Thursdays game goes a long way for SCU or USF in trying to end up 3rd in the league.

I’ll be in attendance tonight and, though I think coming out of there with a win will be tough, I’m going to say Broncos 67 – Dons 65.

To me, this is one of the most interesting games of the season. Have we vaulted our selves into the top 4 and are we ready to give ourselves a chance to compete for the three seed? My heart tells me yes… my head tells me no. We will get there.

Brownridge doesn’t look very interested. Filters to the rest of the team. Defense has been garbage.

Feagin the only starter to show up. He has the attitude you’d like to see out of your seniors.

This is absolute fucking garbage. Healy takes a contested shot after not passing to an open man, Feagin drives into a crowd because no one is moving or trying to get open, Jadersten jacking up 3s when he hasn’t made anything in a month it seems like.

This is the losing attitude that it’s Sendek’s challenge to break. Tough road game and you just show up and start doing whatever shit you want like you’ve never played before.

Seeing all these freshmen for USF makes me wonder how the hell SCU doesn’t have more open scholarships given how few usable players they have.
