The Big One – v Gonz

Updated on March 7, 2017 in Game Preview/Recap

A couple years ago we gave a good gonzaga team a very close scare in Vegas – losing to a Stockton layup at the buzzer. Technically anything is possible in March but this will be tough, especially tough without KJ.
Broncos 67-63.
A boy can dream, right?

Hauser got a concussion and he had to sit out one game.

Hauser sat out two games, for what it’s worth. And that Stockton layup over Denzel was a textbook push-off.

I’ll take my usual kool-aid on the rocks. 71-69 Broncos

How come the spread hasn’t come out yet? Is vegas waiting for the update on feagin’s status? The byu smc spread is out!

College basketball spreads usually released (on bovada at least) on the morning of. However I did see an early line for our game at scu +20.

Get the score right with a Bronco win and $500 is yours… get the right score with the other guys winning and $100 is yours.  I don’t think KJ is available for the rest of the WCC Tourney.

SCU 57  Zags 55  (we can dream, can’t we… well for one more day at least)

65-62 Broncos.
For what it’s worth Zags are a little banged up themselves….Perkins left Saturday’s game w/ a sprained ankle but is expected to play and has also been nursing a bad lower back for past month or two. Tillie missed a month w/ a broken right hand and returned Saturday, imagine he’s a little rusty. Alberts also missed a month w/ a sprained ankle and just returned.

Gonzaga shoots a program worst 2-27 from three against a tough SCU Zone and the Broncos pull the upset of Championship Week with a 57-55 victory over No. 4 Gonzaga. Brownridge banks a three at the buzzer for the win.

….I’m joining PattyMac with Kool-Aid on the rocks. Ha

To be honest… if we are going to win Brownridge would have to drop 40+ like he did vs. Arizona.

on March 6, 2017

Probably need JB and Hauser to combine for 50… it is a possibility

on March 6, 2017

Agree…GU would have to repeat Pepperdine’s performance against the Broncs a few weeks ago, coupled with another out of body shooting night for keepers of justice and mercy. Just don’t see it happening without KJ. Hoping PattyMac has some cognac to top-off the Kool-Aid. But who knows, maybe Gonzaga gets the NDE (near death experience for the acronym impaired) they deserve.

Very little cognac in this part of Peru, but pisco I can manage.

No reason to think this will go differently than the last two meetings. Likely worse with Feagin out.   89-56 Zags.

on March 6, 2017

And now I see the spread as 22. over/under 136.
