Went to practice today at Leavey. Team is so much farther along than last year at this point, primarily since they are doing things they have been doing for a full year and the work that has been put in by the coaches and the players. All work was 5-0 full court into 5-0 half court sets. The thing that really stood out was depth and skill at all positions. KJ is out of his boot and shot on the side. Should be back running full speed within 2-3 weeks. Assuming he is back 100%, the point is a real strength, with KJ, Hauser, and Turner all good ball handlers and shooters. At any time, two could be in the game together. Healy, Henry C, and Jarvis all look good and can easily slide between 2, 3, and even 4 with regards to Henry and Jarvis. E and Hank look more confident and it appears that Hank will be playing more inside than out. Vrankic is a 3-4. By my count, that is 9 deep and they are all athletic. We are certainly trending up. We should all be encouraged with three months left before tip off.
