Do you have a link? Where is that supposed to go on the campus? It kind of looks like the spot where Locatelli is located.

Nice to see this is finally getting out. This is about 3-4 years old so Kudos to those that are in the know that have kept this under wraps for that length in time. The location is where the tennis courts are, the plan could wipe out most if not all the tennis courts.

Looks good! Hope the commitment is there. Not sure if Santa Clara has passed the 1 billion endowment mark yet but no doubt it dwarfs the endowment of both Gonzaga (181 million) and St. Mary’s(165 million). Coach Sendek is the right guy but can our fans rally around the team in these “developing” years and give the team proper home support to accelerate the rise to basketball prominence?
As a long-distance fan, I wish I were closer so I could make a point to be there more often this year.
On another note, some young fans have started a podcast about SCU hoops. Three young alumni who bought season tickets and have decided to follow the team and talk about the experience.
Haven’t had a chance to listen but worth checking out.

Some facts.
The idea is not 3-4 years old. It has just been brewing since Dr. B got here.
The building will go on the last three tennis courts toward the front of Leavey. That leaves 6 courts for the team.

What is the plan for this facility? I assume a practice court for basketball. The current varsity weight room is tiny and unimpressive, so I assume a big weight room. Perhaps expanded academic support area? If they move some of these things out of Leavey, then these areas can be re used for other uses. I have seen the building that UOP has, it looks primarily like just practice courts, but I know they are doing some sort of addition (I think for additional workout space)
